Website privacy.
Effective August 14, 2026
This website uses deliberately limited, cookieless analytics to understand whether people find the story and which parts of the preview they use. It does not use advertising trackers or identify individual visitors.
What the website records
The site records a page visit and, when they happen, interactions with the playtest links, voice sample, and trailer. A successful playtest-form submission may be recorded after applications open, but the email address and every other form value are excluded from analytics.
Events can also include ordinary technical context supplied by the browser, such as browser type, operating system, device category, screen size, page path, and referring site. This helps us understand whether the website works across devices.
What it does not do
PostHog autocapture, session replay, heatmaps, error capture, surveys, feature flags, and person profiles are disabled. The site does not record page text, form contents, names, email addresses, advertising identifiers, or precise location.
The playtest form is not connected yet and currently saves nothing. This notice will be updated before email applications open.
No analytics cookies
Analytics runs in PostHog’s cookieless server-hash mode. It does not store PostHog cookies or analytics identifiers in your browser. PostHog uses the connection information momentarily to create a privacy-preserving count and discards the client IP address before the event is stored. The project’s IP-storage setting is also disabled.
The site does not send analytics when viewed on a local development address, or when the browser exposes a supported Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track preference.
Why, where, and how long
The purpose is to understand interest in Sounds from Beyond, improve the preview, and prepare the private playtest. The lawful basis for this minimal measurement is legitimate interest.
PostHog processes these events for us in its European Union cloud. Website analytics are retained for up to twelve months. The data is not sold, used for advertising, or combined with an account or playtest email.
Questions or objections
Contact details for privacy questions or objections will be published here before playtest applications open. Because cookieless website events are not connected to a name, email address, account, or persistent identifier, we may not be able to locate a particular visitor’s past events.
